hard water - bath salts?

I hope this is the right forum, but here's my dilemma. We just moved and now have hard water with no water softener. I read that bath salts are good to use in the tub, but do I have to do that? Could I just put in one kind of salt, like table or Sea or baking soda, or do I need a combination of salts? We will eventually get a softener, but for right now I need something for my bath. I just feel like I can't get clean. Ugh!
