small reason to be cheerful
Gentle Readers,
Not an action-packed post, I am a very new cautious baby at this but here goes.
Someone at Cure Zone said that when our food sits around in the colon, there is a signal to the liver. Like "Hey, this leftover merchandise is still sitting here; maybe you better re-process these toxins over again before they leak into the bloodstream." This must waste a lot of time for the liver. (Like when I stockpile pieces of paper and read them 15 times before filing. :) )
So I said to my very nice intestines "Things will be different from now on. I'm sorry for all the times I ignored you before. If you are still speaking to me, I will do my best to walk straight to the bathroom as soon as you give the signal." Wow, it worked. As soon as the signal happens (it's a tiny tinge of effervescence, like a champagne bubble. "Ting! Ok, ready to roll!") at that moment I drop everything, email, phone call, staff meeting, and run up 2 flights of stairs and down the hall (= two city blocks long) to the bathroom. Sometimes 5 times a day.
I had a corporate training for 8 hours, and afterward stood on the highway for the shuttle bus that comes every 30 minutes. I was so tired. It was rush hour and I was waiting with a lot of stressed people smoking cigarettes in the hot sun. Finally the shuttle bus was coming. Wouldn't you know, right then: "Ting!" I thought "Oh jeez, can't you wait 90 minutes? We'll be home then. Much healthier than another 30 minutes standing here in traffic for the next bus." But a promise is a promise. So, I ran inside and out again for the next bus. Same highway. Same rush hour.
BUT standing there with freshly massaged cleaned out insides, the scene was a whole new world! This fresh rain began to fall, I noticed these lovely pots of flowers nearby (hey, where were they 3 minutes ago?), birds sang, the air was sweet, the strangers at the bus stop looked beautiful and endearing.
Best of all, ever since then my intestine can BREATHE like never before. Now when I have to make a decision, this internal breathing just reaches out toward the best direction, and the answer is simple and clear. Ting!
Thank you thank you everybody for your daily example,
your fan Autumn
