After reading a few of what Just Me had to write about I just wanted to say I asked all those same questions. What I found out is that what we have to do to cure ourselves is change our thinking, not our diet. All food is good for you if you werent sick with this candida. What happened was with candida what happens is the lining of the stomach breaks down and allows unprocessed foods to flow into the bloodstream which the body cannot defend itself against.. I did everyhing just like all the info told me to. Not until I tried three lac and primal defence did i hit the nail on the head. After a couple weeks I was eating anyhting i wanted again. For me being otherwise heathy it worked. I had this condition for 10 years. Antibiotics are what set it off. Knowing this I wont use them again. I even had an operation and was adimant that the Doctors did not administer them. I was no worse for it. To anyone I would suggest reading about the purpose of enzymes in our diet and how to get the most out of them. My eating habits are back to normal and the only draw back to that is now i have to exercize more often. But thats ok. Now that I get what i pay for out of food i have the energy to do so
