Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe he is the gentlemen that also was responsible for bringing Apollo 13 or was it 9 back to earth(?) You know the movie "The Right Stuff". That would of course require him to have worked for Nasa..which I strongly believe he did..but I did not read through your posts Lapis. I would like this confirmed..if so he is obviously an American Legend then in a whole other sense as well. Tweet
