Madame,
Not wanting to appear presumptuous,because the lady AJ can speak for herself. But I think she was trying to convey that for the animals to eat thier own waste was not common or normal. I am inclined to agree with her,for the following reasons. All of the dogs that I have seen eat thier own waste were poorly malnurished and under fed. Indicating that they had not been properly cared for. Not being a cat person I have not seen this happen with cats.
Having owned several dogs in my life,I have noticed that they would on ocasions go outside and eat grass or weeds. I believe they understood that something was not right with thier system,they did it instintively. Therefore, I personally do not think it is normal or common in nature for animals to eat thier own waste.
I will not address the issue of UT at this time, except to say that in my opinion I think it is wrong. Of course everyone knows that opinions are like elbows everyone has one or two.
