Years prior to 9\11, a project directed at Americanizing the Taliban
via their leadership was administered through a department of mid-
eastern studies at the U. of Nebraska - Lincoln. This effort was
financed by big-oil. The American handlers were unable to convince the
imams that a pipeline should be authorized through Afghanistan. When
the program failed to modernize the Taliban leaders, it was then decided
that other methods must be utilized to assure the movement of oil through
an Afghan system. Not certain if the Lincoln department still exists.
