The author has overestimated the American public. I suggest she
observe shots of the bleacher sections at any NFL game. Catch an
episode of Jerry Springer. Has she seen Jackass or the top-rated
Bachelor? Note the number of qualified voters that vote. How about
our child mortality rate? Nasty piece about how many uninsured
families we have running around. Then there's that testing thing -
seems are kids are scoring well as compared to some third-world
nations. Is it any wonder a majority of our citizens idolize a
drug-deadened, moronic loser with a super-magnified sense of
significance?
