Was Congressman Traficant railroaded?

It appears that he may have been. He 'may' also have taken bribes ... I don't know.

However, it sounds like the way the government works... frame your opposition in a criminal proceeding, or if that doesn't work, 'suicide' them, or have them die in a plane crash (now called 'Wellstoning'), after the recently deceased, and very vocal opponent of Bush, Democratic Senator Wellstone....
