Re: breastfeeding and cleansing? question
Dr. Schulze says it is safe for breastfeeding mothers. My personal opinion is that you have to watch your baby. Your baby's one and so you are not her only source of nutrition, so I would think it would be okay...but you just have to watch for their reactions.
I did a liver cleanse while breastfeeding my child. I just watched him carefully to make sure he wasn't having any reactions to the herbs through my milk.
Also, it is recommended that you do IF 1 and 2 while doing the cleanse. And also to complete a
Bowel Cleanse before the liver or kidney cleanse. Have you tried IF#3 directly with your baby? If you can give her that, then, it would probably be even pretty good for her.
I think our bodies know where to flush toxins out. It's just my opinion, but I doubt very many toxins escape through the breastmilk. The herbs might though, so you just have to watch for reactions to those, and stop if she doesn't seem to be feeling well or breaking out or something like that. (My son has
food allergies , so I'm always looking for that sort of thing.)
And just on a side note. Make sure you do the potassium broth (oh, and Superfood), without it you will feel a little weaker and that's especially hard when you're breastfeeding.
And if you want more feedback, try posting on Dr.
Schulze Support Forum #3. MOre people peruse that forum than this one.
Anyway, sorry I'm so longwinded.
