Skip a few meals until you feel better. You don't mention what you are eating, but it's a good rule of thumb to rest your body so it can work on other things besides digestion. Probably your body is busy cleaning out your gut, loosening the old mucus off the sides of your colon, and moving old sludge (arthritis) out of the way.
