Hot Flashes continued with double dose Female...help

I began with the recommended dose of Female. It worked well for about a month. The 2nd month the hot flashes began to come back slowly and then increased to former intensity and insomnia gradually returned. I doubled dosage to no avail. I am taking a hormonal compound which helps when I take the dosage recommended based on a 24 hour urine test that determined by homonal levels. However, after a week or two my breasts were swollen and very sore. So Naturapth recomended 1/2 dosage. Now hot flashes and insomnia are only somewhat subdued and breasts just a little sore. I'm concerned and don't know what to try next.
