Colloidal Minerals Toxic Quackery. Compare SEA SILVER.
Colloidal Minerals are negatively charged, and at minimum act as a tissue irritant, not a nutrient. The shocking part is the array of harmful metals, like Tin, in these "Body Toddy" mixes. Horrible stuff, no matter how nicely flavored! Phytominerals, real nutrients from real plants, are a grand way to go, with Kelp being the cheapest and best source of minerals which have been cycled through a plant and are easy to assimilate.
I do use Silver Colloid by way of a necessary evil. It is virtually non-toxic when prepared with heated distilled water and consumed in rational doses. But Silver Colloid isn't a nutrient, per se, and to convey these awful, indigestible, irritating and often toxic metallic soups to people at these outrageous prices is obscene. Thanks for this heads-up. Nothing new in these kinds of patent medicine sales. "Doc" Rockefeller started with Nujol, the "cancer cure" made from...mineral oil.
I will note that wonderful results have been gained by people, particularly diabetics, who have used Sea Silver, which is a proprietary liquid vitamin drink made from: sea vegetables like Kelp, including some known to be rich in Silver; Aloe Vera juice; Pau d'Arco; and Digestive Enzymes. I can't help but think back years ago to a desperately ill friend who was very savvy, and did a lot of research she tested on herself. She said her favorite booster drink was simply Aloe Vera juice and Kelp. She's still around! You can make this kind of drink yourself, or use Sea Silver, which tastes yummy, but Kelp and similar sea vegetables are a great source of mineral nutrients, not this "colloidal mineral" scum dredged from coal mines.
