Re: Is swimming safe?

Hi Wyman,

If a person with SARS was well enough to be in the same pool with others who were not sick,
he would likely be coughing if any water was swallowed and that would create clouds of droplets.
It would stand to reason that the infection would be spread through the AIR.

The water in the pool should be chlorinated and hopefully that would be enough to prevent spread
after the person with SARS left the area.
The virus is supposed to be able to live on a surface like a doorknob for a few hours... (I just heard that
it could be as long as 24 hours in some conditions) In an area like a changeroom where the humidity
is high, the virus might be able to live longer than in a dry location where it would dry out and die more quickly.

Did you hear that the building where all this started had a problem where the sewage somehow got into
the fresh water system? That would make a lot of sense for easy transmission.
It almost sounds like a TYPHOID infection.
The coverup seems to be worse than we have heard before. Apparently some government officials have lost their
jobs and the number of INFECTED is about 7000 with something like 1400 dead. Who can you believe???

(Remember Typhoid Mary who was ill and continued to work in restaurants, coughing and touching
food and making many ill while she showed few serious symptoms?)
I hope that the similarity to a typhoid sickness is being looked at by the researchers.

The news media must love this new reason to sell stories and be watched and listened to. Who needs a WAR anyway?

Ron
