It seems like a common type of people, whenever they don't have any proof to support something they want to be true, they say something like "there is proof", "it's been proven beyond any doubt", "research shows that..." , etc. For example: "research shows that tomatoes are blue". Or, "It is a scientific fact that Jews were guilty of drinking all the water from [such and such] desert".
Never a piece of evidence.
