Rudie - show me the money?
What is the deal with success and money, Rudie? So many of today's "preachers" (including my favorite Joel Osteen) offer instruction in the way of success and how to acheive it (for the Glory of God's name, etc.) - and how God wants his children to be successful.
Yeah, why do some have it, and others have not? How is it that some seemingly "not very nice people" roll in it, while many more "good-hearted" souls sometimes are born with a led-spoon in their mouth.
Charles Fillmore (fill more? intersting name, considering the topic, now that I think about it), is the late, great leader of Unity Church, wrote in his book, entitled, Prosperity, how even sexual misuse may turn into lack of monetary funds - as well as physical health. And I find that fascinating.
Here's the passage from page 19:
"Many people are seeking the the aid of Spirit to heal them of their physical ills. They have no desire for the higher life, but have found their lusts and passions curtailed by physical infirmities, they want these erased in order that they may continue in their fleshly ways. It is the experiece of all who have dealt with Spirit that it is a vigorous body stimulate. It restores the vitality of the body until it is even more sensitive to pleasure or pain thant it was before the spiritual quickening. This supersensitiveness makes it more susceptitble and liable to more rapid waste if further indulgence is gratified. That is why those who receive spiritual treatment should be fully instructed in the Truth of Being. They should be shows that the indulgence of bodily passions is a sin against their success in every walk of life and especially in the way of fiances and prosperity."
What do you think of this? Has your NDE experience taught you that there is some truth to this?
What's more: I consider myself a "good person"...Why am I struggling so with money, while others who I know (who kinda'sorta'really aren't they nice) have globs of it to spare?
