DEATH AS PROCESS OR EVENT?
PTree,
I am saying this from my carnal understanding but I will try to say it through what I have experienced: Imagine that we all plan our life....But we don't plan on the pain...It is impossible for souls to know pain...So when our body begins to get darker and darker...and full of so much pain and fear, Our souls may get the exit...stage right signal....
The transition from one life to the next life...is sometimes difficult...Our bodies may cling on to life in this material existense for a much longer time than our souls are willing. Some people appear not to be themselves or seem to completly be without love before they die...it is because their souls have already gone to the light...You can tell sometimes...You think to yourself...that just doesn't seem to be Charlie...
Our souls only leave for good when we have finished learning what we came here for.
If I was going to comfort someone about the next life, I would tell them to begin looking for the light as soon as they leave their body...so they don't get confused in the tunnel...I think souls and their spirits can stay in the tunnel for three days or so before they move on...Some people's flesh just can't let go...But if they only knew about the streets of gold...the beautiful flowers....wonderful music...and the love that is there...on the other side...I would run, swim, fly, catch a bus, ride a train....do anything I could to get there as fast as I could...Because God is good...& God is love....And "There is no sting in death...We travel from life to life..." And that is way I think we should not look at death as dark...but look for the light in the life after this life : )
