Help for epilepsy caused by brain injury?

I've been reading the messages in this forum and it seems as if most people's epilepsy is caused by virus, allergy, lack of a nutrient, etc. Has anyone had any success treating epilepsy in a non-drug manner for people who have a brain injury? My son has partial seizures. I firmly believe there are triggers for all seizures. I don't think they "just happen." He has one every 7 to 11 days, USUALLY about 1/2 hour after he falls asleep, only occasionally when he is awake. If something weren't causing them, I'd think they would be happening all the time. If anyone has any advice, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!
P.S. I've tried herbs, vitamins, and he has a very clean diet.
