yes, i am the same. i have to eat protein before bed or i get even worse insomnia. I keep almonds by my bed in case i wake up, which i often do, and eat a few. This has helped balance my blood Sugar alot. i also use a liquid herbal tincture of tart cherries. it contains natural melotonin. i find this helps more than a melotonin supplement. the supplements make me have nightmares and give me headaches. i have tried different brands, but the tincture works really well. I also used to take inositol powder and it is very calming. leslie
