adrenal health protocol

DHEA is a kind of "guy" hormone--androsterone--that women have, too. It is a basic hormone that the body can turn into other hormones for ill or good, and it heavily regulates mood and circulation/warmth. It is produced by the Adrenals and can be paradoxically high when under stress. It's like the Thyroid. Stress makes it overproduce, expanding its surface area, then underproduce when it "collapses" or shrinks.

So lay off all adrenal stressors like: caffeine, nicotine, Sugar and overly stimulating loud music/noise, or any fight-or-flight situations. Adrenals need lots of trace minerals like Kelp, and good Sea Salt . And Adrenals need nutritious fats and oils, like a well-marbled Ribeye steak every week w/raw Olive oil salad dressing, or Evening Primrose oil caps or Borage seed oil. Take digestive enzymes if you have a hard time digesting your food. You may have an assimilation problem that is starving the Adrenals.

Eat no hydrogenated margarine or peanut butter or fried foods; that's like feeding a starving dog a rubber bone. It will displace good lipids. Avoid sugars, sweet fruits, and sweet vegetables like corn, and avoid fake sugars that trigger the same chemical pathways. Avoid cortico-steroids like anesthetics which stress the Adrenals and derange Sugar levels.

If you suspect Adrenal Collapse from having cold hands and feet, or emotional volatility, or a feeling of having a hard time breathing, often misidentified as a Panic Attack, or a "wiggly" feeling near your heart with no organic heart problem, take 5-10 mg. for women, or up to 25 mg. for men, of DHEA. If you feel better twenty minutes later, you have Adrenal Insufficiency.

If you wish to supplement as needed to allay symptoms, take the KETO-7 form of DHEA which will not turn into other hormones. Get tested if you can to monitor your DHEA levels. Adrenal Collapse is the basis of "shell shock" and takes time to recover. Be careful, be patient, and God bless you all. "Pray always." And thanks to all who have prayed for me.
