There are no guilty men on death row, until that last moment when they face their past, in those last moments before they die. Until that moment, men rationalize all kinds of fantasies that will allow them to murder another human being. Killing that enemy combatant was like shooting a fish in a barrel. When some young kid like that can kill another human being, who has obviously given up his will to fight,
there had to be a disrespect for human life that may follow him to the grave. The murder of an enemy combatant who has given up the will to fight and is incapable of continuing the fight may be rationalized but that doesn't make it right.
