MAJOR UPDATE! Re: Dr. Christophers

I finally received back an email from Dr. Christopher's product site. It took SEVERAL emails to get someone there to answer my question, which was: "Do you utilize all organic or wildcrafted herbs in your products, or do you utilize imported herbs?"

The representative stated that certified organic or wildcrafted herbs were always used/chosen/preferred...WHEN AVAILABLE OR NOT TOO EXPENSIVE.

I cannot BEGIN to tell you how saddened and outraged I was to receive that email confirmation. The legacy, works, and life of Dr. Christopher deserve FAR better from his children.

There are several companies I know (please add others if you know of them) that GUARANTEE their natural healing products to be certified organic or wildcrafted.

They are:

Dr. Schulze
Southern Botanicals
Herb Pharm
Gaia Herb
Pacific Botanicals
Mountain Rose Herbs

If what these companies (above) sell is NOT organic or wild-crafted (rarely) it is clearly noted & disclosed.

This is extremely important to those with health issues. ALL herbs that are imported to the US are (by law) doused with insecticides and most are irradiated. The majority are grown in third-world countries (China, India, Eastern Europe, Mexico) where there are no laws about herbicides & pesticides. MANY are grown with DDT. DDT is an EXTREME neurotoxin/carcinogenic, and there have been several reports of people with neurological disorders utilizing herbal products from imported herbs...that have worsened their conditions.

To me, THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! I feel VERY STRONGLY, that producers and suppliers of natural healing products should diclose their usage of cheap, toxic, imported herbs so that we can make an informed, safe, healthy choice. Anything less puts these companies in the same genre as Big Pharmaceutical companies...the dollar (not our health) is their bottom line. For a natural company to do this is repulsive.
