herbs

Hi, wanted to get opinions from people. I know during pregnancy there is a general warning to avoid most herbs because of lack of testing, however I have found a few herbs that have really helped my constipation and from what I can tell are rather gentle/non-laxative herbs. What I've been taking is artichoke leaf extract in capsule form and have been drinking yellow dock and dandelion root tea. These all have a choleretic effect (i.e. stimulate the liver bile production). It's been helping my constipation issue tremendously without the harsh laxative effect like herbs such as senna. Do you think this is okay? Mary
