Re: Anybody else? Re: Senna and lining of colon

This was my first colonoscopy - I'm 53 and the Dr. has been telling me to do it for 3 years now. My sister just had one and had polyps, and a good friend just found out she has only 3 months to live with colon cancer, so it seemed like time. And having found out this year that I have thyroid cancer, I know now that I can get cancer.

I did the cleanses because of gallbladder attacks. After 4 months of daily pain I couldn't stand it any more and went for surgery. It was the pre-surgery visit when the Dr. felt around my throat and said "what is that!?", that turned out to be thyroid cancer. I just read an article about personality types - I figure I'm a type C - "Type C's—outwardly pleasant people who avoid conflict by suppressing their feelings—were said to be cancer-prone".

I've learned a lot about myself through this journey. I'm taking Essiac tea every day (Caisse spelled backwards - Rene Caisse was a nurse in Canada in the 20's who came up with a 4-herb cure for cancer). And I started having Reiki treatments, and am now a level 2 Reiki master (I'll take the level 3 class soon). The whole thing has been quite an experience!
