Re: Calcium citrate and Kambucha!

Hi Casandra!
It's I, Suzanne, not Sharon that's making Kombucha and soaking eggs etc.

You wrote:

I have been drinking Kombucha but I buy it pre-made. YOur point about it being acidic makes me wonder if I shouldn't drink it since for cancer it is best to be alkaline. Do you know if this would mess up the bodies pH?

Answer: just the opposite. Kombucha is very alkalining to the body (very similar to raw apple cider vinegar...high in acid but alkalining..) also very mineralizing, which is good for all the juicing, calcium absorption etc. There are people who advocate Kombucha therapy for cancer. If you are buying it, I hope it's GT's raw Kombucha at about $3.00/16 oz bottle?

Is it difficult to make your own Kombucha? It seems sooooo time consuming.

Answer: no it's incredibly easy to make Kombucha and also very inexpensive. Once you get the hang of it, I would say it takes me an hour or so a week. Basically to boil Sugar water and let it cool and to bottle up the previous week's brew. The only trick is to get some large glass containers to brew it in lg enough quantities to drink 16 oz a day. (I got 2 1/2 gallion Harbor glass jars at Walmart for $12.50 each. Bought 2 of them so I can brew enough to give away as well as drink 16 oz daily)

Ofcourse I would send you a scoby, starter liquid, instructions etc. if you decide you want to try it.
Let me know if you are interested and I'll spell out the steps here on how to make Kombucha, my links to support forum etc. Then the info is available to anyone interested.

Ultimately, I think you really have to listen to your inner self and if you are drawn to Kombucha then continue it. I love it. It has great detox aspects and is full of probiotics etc.

Lastly: the Kombucha egg thing is not going well. If you decide to do it, I would suggest you use fresh lemon juice. I'm doing an experiment w/Kombucha because I make my own and it's cheap compared to buying lemons and juicing them. However, the eggs are not dissolving as fast as they are supposed to in the Kombucha. Could be there are acids in lemon that are required to make this work? I'll keep you posted.
There's another guy who is doing a similar experiment using his Kombucha and eggs. So we're testing this out in 2 different states.

Hope all is going well with you. I am sharing your experience and the info on your hospital in Mexico with a woman in the town just north of me who has a glioblastoma. So you know you are touching and helping other lives.
Love ya,
Suzanne
