My dog currently has tonsiltis.. Her tonsils are so inflammed, that they are blocking her airway, and yesterday, she wouldn't stop gagging for 20 minutes, it was quite frightening. I threw Dr. Schulze 's cayenne pepper, and Echinechea down her throat, and it managed to stop the gagging. I still took her to the vet. as this was an emergency (the swollen tonsils were blocking off the airpassages, I didn't want the gagging to come back, and he gave her some meds. I am only giving her the meds. b/c it was an emergency (I can't have her tonsils blocking her airways). I am going to start her on some herbal therapies as soon as she is done her meds. to cure this condition.

I have Dr. Christopher's herbal home healthcare book and was reading about tonsilitis in it (page 92-93). He says never to remove the tonsils they are part of the immune system, and are needed for the development of a healthy reproductive system. Here is a quote: "Tonsilitis is the inflammation of the tonsils.., often the result often the result of overworking them. Tonsils, many authorities say, are the first line of defence. Their job is to control the entrance of large armies of germs into the body.

Tonsils are the filtering system for the reproductive organs and are needed by the body, or the Creator would not have installed them in the first place. As a person goes from childhood into adulthood through the stage of puberty, the young people making this transition will be easier to live with if they still have their tonsils. The girls will have easier menstrual periods and the boys less chance for prostate malfunction and will have a better teenage life.

We have 10 fingers, but if we got infection in one of them, we would not cut it off until we tried to clear up the infection. As soon as the tonsils become swollen with infection, the first thing we think of is to have the tonsils cut or burnt out, without trying to save them. Use our suggested program and keep the individual in a whole state, as the Creator intended!

Herbal aids: With tonsilitis we use the glandular formula, three parts mullein and one part lobelia. In addition to using the mullein lobelia tea and applying the fomentation, use an abundance of red raspberry tea, as much as can be taken for three days.Use no foods on these days except unsweetened vegetable and fruit juices.

......We only have two tonsils, and when there is a little infection in them, how foolish to cut or burnt them out. As stated earlier lets save the tonsils for better, stronger and more peaceful generations to come."

He also mentions to also clean the bowels, and go on a 3 day juice fast.

Dr. Schulze also has a formula for tonsils, so your daughter may want to try this, along with his supertonic formula, echinechea plus formula, and cayenne.

I have also learned that whenever a health condition ends with itis (i.e. colitis, tonsilitis), this indicates inflammation, which is caused by a pathogen, and olive leaf extract can kill these pathogens, which will gradually reduce the inflammation, and cure the condition. This is how my colitis was cured-I took meds. to reduce the inflammation, but amoebas were causing the inflammation, so you need to kill the pathogens, to stop the inflammation. This won't happen over night with olive leaf extract, but within a few weeks should cure the condition. Sisu is a good olive leaf extract product. I am thinking of giving this to my dog once she is done her Antibiotics (never take olive leaf extract with Antibiotics as it reduces the effectiveness of the Antibiotics ). It's a great herb as it literally kills every pathogen from viruses, to bacteria, to amoebas, to fungus.

I would also give your daughter superfood to boost her immune system. Started my dog on this today.

Good luck and please try some of the above remedies before having her tonsils removed. The doctors always recommend surgery, when they have no more drugs to recommend. I hope this info. helps.

Maybe you should get the book "Herbal Home Health Care" by Dr. Christopher. It's a great reference for many ailments, and specifically focuses on treating childhood diseases.
