Re: Nuclear Medicine Thyroid Scan - Hypothyroid
In my case, I hadn't noticed any symptoms or swelling - a friend who's a Dr. came over and he felt it, and he thought it could be cancer too. The ultrasound showed there was something going on in there, but they didn't know it was cancer until the CT scan. I looked up "nuclear thyroid scan" on google and they give you radioactive
Iodine for that. I'm getting ready to get a larger dose of the radioactive
Iodine to kill the rest of the thyroid cells, then I'll have the scan a week later to see if the cancer has spread beyond the thyroid and 8 lymph nodes that they already took out.
A thyroid mass can make your throat feel tight, and make it hard to swallow. It's so hard when you can't figure out what is going on, but you know something is. I'd been tired, but figured everyone's tired. I hope they can figure it out in your case!
Feel free to email me if you want to talk about it - I'm no expert, but I am going through it. I had to put off the radioactive
Iodine the first time because I'd been taking
Dr. Schulze 's SuperFood for 3 years, and it has lots of iodine in it. I think I'm ready to do it next week.
I also noticed your postings about a juicer - I've used my Champion juicer for 15 years, mostly carrot/beet/cucumber, that's supposed to be the most detoxifying juice, and also apple when doing the cleanses. It's expensive, but Dr Schulze says you'll be passing it on to your grandchildren.
