Re: PLEASE HELP ME! Trying to do KIDNEY CLEANSE. Carrot Peelings? Morning drink #2 vs. #1? Fresh fruit or just it's juice?
Hi!
I use the carrot peel only ( wash first) from a 5 lb. bag of carrots in my potassium broth. It is soooo good. I do add a pinch of celtic
Sea Salt to each cup for extra minerals. I like my potassium broth hot, hot, hot, so I use as many as 20 thumb sized jalapenos or maybe a small handful of cayenne peppers in a huge stock pot of potassium broth. This winter I'll just use cayenne powder.
Remember you only drink the broth. It's good for three days, and then you dump everything out into the compost pile and start over with a new batch.
Peppers are soooo good for you. I'm from Texas, so it's second nature for me to eat stuff with peppers in it. But if you aren't used to Tex Mex or Cajun heat, you can try this:
Since you're doing a kidney cleanse, you are taking two drinks. You mentioned the kidney/bladder tea, to which you are adding the kidney/bladder tonic in the little bottle. You're going to use up that whole bottle during your 5 day cleanse and you're going to use the whole bag of herbs in a tea during the same time period. You're going to drink this tea at least 3 times a day.
The other drink is a hot lemonade. This is the kidney flush drink. You take a cup of hot distilled water and squeeze the juice of a real lemon into it. Then you put a teaspoon of Grade B maple syrup in it. I got screamed at on another forum when I suggested honey. LOL It has to be maple syrup. Now to that you are going to add 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne powder to your drink, stir, and enjoy. It will surprise you and please you at the same time.
The second day, add 1/4 a teasoon of cayenne powder, and the third day, add 3/8 teaspoon. Your body is building a tolerance for the cayenne, and you're going to be very pleased with the healing results you will start to see. Day four is 1/2 teaspoon and Day five 5/8 teasoon to 3/4 teaspoon.
An alternative is to use
Dr. Schulze 's cayenne tincture, which has almost the same heat units as police pepper sprays. I love the cayenne tincture and prefer it in this kidney flush drink because it mixes better. Then I use cayenne powder in my Superfood/power vegetable juice. Start with 5 drops and buld up to 20.
Cayenne is definitely your friend. You should get to know it and get used to its taste. I fell in love with cayenne and tabasco peppers when I lived in Louisiana. Wonderful stuff!
It's said around here that Central American mothers rub a tiny bit of jalapeno juice on their babies' palettes to get them used to spicy food. I have to say some Texas mothers do it, too (ahem). I caught my 18 month old drinking from a salsa bowl at a party. He loved it! But Mom was pretty embarrassed! LOL
As for eating solid food during the kidney cleanse- Dr. S says you can. But I've also read from Dr. Christopher, I think, that you can eat solid vegan food on day one, just juice fast (and I assume that means potassium broth is included) and drink your flush drinks/teas on days 2-4, and then return to eating solid vegan food on day 5 & 6, resting from eating or drinking anything but pure water on day 7. Then you can move on to you next cleansing project. I think I will try this the next time I do a kidney flush. But if I feel like I'm starving to death, I'll grab a piece of fruit.
Hope this helps,
-Donna
