Re: How did you cure prostate cancer, Tyler?
Blessed Herbs (www.blessedherbs.com) is a good source for single tinctures. You can get red clover blossom and chaparral tinctures there. I don't know of any source for graviola tinctures. You can buy graviola capsules from Rain-Tree (http://www.rain-tree.com/rtmprod.htm). You can also buy a combination capsule called N-Tense, which contains 50% graviola and several other anti-cancer herbs like cats claw and bitter melon. N-Tense has been shown to be very effective just as graviola is effective alone.
If you want to make a graviola tincture, which is what I did, buy the one pound of bulk powder from Rain-Tree. One pound will make you about 32 ounces, give or take, of final tincture. Graviola tincture should be made in a 1:4 ratio, which means, for every ounce or gram of herbs you add four
ounces or four milliliters of 40-50% alcohol. This ratio yields a very strong tincture. So take one pound of powder, split it evenly between three
quart mason jars. To each jar, add 21
ounces of 80 or 100 proof vodka. Put the jars in a dark place, but shake vigorously at least twice each day. Do this for 14 days. At the end of 14 days, strain the tincture. It is best to do this in stages. Pour as much sediment free tincture as you can into a glass or stainless steel bowl. When sediment starts to come along with the tincture, pour it through a clean muslin cloth or clean towel lining a stainless steel strainer into another glass or stainless steel bowl. Once the the sediment drains as much as it looks like it will on its own (a few minutes) then with clean hands, gather the cloth up squeeze as much liquid as you can from the marc (sediment/pulp/whatever you want to call it). Now you have a pretty cloudy tincture. Combine both bowls of tincture together and strain through another clean piece of muslin. If you want to go further, you can add another step and stain it through an unbleached coffee filter. So you start with 63
ounces of alchol and you end up with about 32 ounces of tincture using this process.
You can follow the same process for making red clover and chaparral tinctures after sourcing the herbs from either Pacific Botanicals or Blessed Herbs, but there are some other things to consider with these two herbs. For chaparral, the optimum alcohol ratio is about 75% alcohol. You can mix Everclear and 100 proof vodka together at about 50/50 to get that ratio. Schulze talks about just using Everclear, which is fine as well, but a 75% alcohol ratio has been shown to be optimal. The best weight volume ratio for chaparral is between 1:4 and 1:5. With red clover blossoms, they are so voluminous that a weight volume ratio of 1:5 will leave you with a little alochol in a jar full of blossoms. What I would suggest with the red clover blossom is to put the blossoms in a blender and add a mixture of blossoms and 80 or 100 proof vodka together to get as close to an applesauce consistency slurry as you can. My experience tells me that the optimum weight/volume ratio here is about 1:10.
I hope this helps.
