Tip: Practice Hydrotherapy, Even When You Are Healthy
Everyone should practice hydrotherapy even when
there's nothing wrong with them because you'll
never know when you really need it and it
takes a bit of time to build up a tolerance
to alternating hot and cold.
And when you're sick it's more difficult and
you might get discouraged from doing it simply
because you feel sick and you don't feel like
putting in effort.
So practice.
Practice.
PRACTICE!!!
I'm trying to heal my sinus problems and I just
did 4 rounds (hot-cold, hot-cold, hot-cold, hot-cold)
on my head and face. I was scared I would
suffocate or drown. (Go ahead and laugh, but I'm
serious). But the fear was completely unfounded,
even though it was real. The water will form
a "ring" around your face and nose if you keep
the axis of your face parallel to the ground
(chin to chest). You can use your mouth to
breathe.
My point is that you need to practice to make
it easy and enjoyable for yourself. When I first
started doing hydrotherapy, I started on my
lower back and buttocks just so I could get used
to hot and cold. I think upper back, face, and
chest are the hardest.
Another tip:
Use a positive affirmation to help you count.
"One - I am healing"
"Two - I am healing"
...
"Twenty - I am healing"
Pick what works for you. You can even use a
mantra - "AUM" (OM)
I think this is more useful than
"One One Thousand" or "One Missisippi"
Best of Health to You All.

P.S. I have really thick hair and I look really
funny with my hair all flattened by the
shower. :)
