Incurables Program, Day 16

Dear ones:

Last night our son didn't leave till 9, then John and I did a "mini-walk," and the kiddoes didn't go to bed till 10. Then we had to clean the kitchen, and I didn't hit the shower till 10:45. When I got out at 11, John was sawing logs (zzzzzzzzzz). Did we really want to start gathering the materials, making the tea, cleaning the igloo and all at 11PM when we had to get up for church in the morning? Naaaah. So tonight's the night. I know it's what y'all are waiting for. LOL

My son talked non-stop about his trip to Seattle. He saw sea life, went hiking on Mt. Olympia (it snowed- what's that?) and saw Canada (Canada!), went to the original Starbucks and a big market, and went to the Mariners-Texas Rangers game. The Rangers won (tee hee)! The pictures were gorgeous- especially the ones of a certain young lady we hope will become our daughter-in-law! :-D

I've reached the top of the hill and begun the descent on the other side. My hypothesis is that things will start to snowball and I'll see some dramatic results by day 30.

I started my second Liver Flush today. I am much more confident about all this than I was when I started two weeks ago.

Guess what- my son works out at a 24 hour gym in North Austin, and the folks there talk about Superfood as being great stuff! I thought it was some obscure, deep, dark secret, but no! So my son was really encouraging about this program. Cool, huh?

Today after church I'm cooking dinner for the family who lost their baby. We'll bring that to them around 5 or so, then eat leftovers from our big meal yesterday ourselves (easy cleanup). Our 11 year old and 21 year old sons will come home and will want to share their stories. Then we'll put everyone to bed early and start the cold sheet treatment.

Tomorrow morning is our neighborhood 4th of July parade! Just kids on bikes and big wheels or skates and scooters, and parents walking. A few decorated cars, some decorated strollers and dolled up babies, and a few dogs, too. One family started a kazoo band one year, and the next year all the kids who play band instruments started a little band. Too cute! A lot of homes have 4th of July decorations in their front yeard- including us!After the parade we gather at a neighbor's front lawn for lemonade and cookies, sing patriotic songs, and pray for America.

Afterwards, John always grills out, and we always have corn on the cob, watermelon, and flowing iced tea. We set up the sprinkler for the kids and they have a great time. Sometimes we make homemade icecream, but this year I may make a frozen treat in the juicer. LOL I also make this fruit salad as a tradition:

Red, White and Blue Fruit Salad:

4 cups strawberries, sliced
4 cups bananas, sliced
4 cups blueberries, washed and drained

Layer it in a big clear glass bowl and stick in some small American flags as decoration.

Have a great 4th,
-Donna
