Emrald, the reason for my posting was that I mistakenly was treating my body for candida, thinking I did indeed have a problem with candida, when the real problem was H. pylori. I was trying to encourage people, to see a practitioner, instead of self diagnosing. H. pylori, like candida, exists in everyone's body, in the stomach, but when balance is lost, it grows out of control. I'm honestly not the person to ask to have every detail of h. pylori explained because I am not an expert. And, no, it wasn't transferred from my husband to me or vice versa. It's something we've each acquired on our own. We had it before we knew eachother. I'm may have played a role for me, but my husband has never had many Antibiotics . Maybe poor diet was a factor. Not sure really. Hope this helps
