oh goodness I haven't made any! LOL! But there are Japanese delicacies that are basically the same thing, but they get pickled so I don't know how many friendly bacteria are left? Plus if they're imported they probably get irradiated. There are lots of foods in Europe etc. that make use of bacteria in really wild ways - like leaving a pheasant or ham to "ripen" until it was GREEN with microbes. LOL! I had lots of fun talking about food when I was working over there heheheh. :)
