Re: Gullblader and candida

Absolutely.

A weak/not working gb means you're not digesting foods properly, which means undigested foods - esp fats and protein - are making it to your colon.

This sets up an environment that yeasts LOVE. They feed on it, it creates acid, and clogs up the liver, bloodstream and lymph so the body can't do anything to help itself.

YOu can read more in Andreas Moritz ' book which is available online - just go to his forum, and you can read these websites for more info:

www.liverdoctor.com
www.sensiblehealth.com

First things you want to do is to take extra-virgin olive oil and/or virgin coconut oil, an entire tablespoon, on an empty stomach, at least once a day. This will lubricate the gb and ducts, and over time make it more flexible.

You should also check the sensible health website for Chinese Bitters and Coptis. Coptis esp. will help the liver to produce more bile. Bile gets to your small intestine not only thru the gb but also the common bile duct.

You may also want to get some pancreative enzyme supplements and take them with every meal. That will help ensure that you completely digest your foods.

You should also take care to practice proper food combining with each meal - eat very simple meals with only 3 different ingredients, no starch with protein, fruit only eaten alone.

Then do what we all usually do to bring the yeasties back into balance. :)
