uterus locks during labour

I would like to hear from anyone out there who has experienced their uterus locking during labor dont no anything about it but just the experience that everyone in the room went crazy, they were going to do a c-section but couldnt do it because my uterus was locked no-one new what was going on they had to go to intensive care to get an injection that would unlock everything and by krickey did it ever it unlocked everything the only thing i know is that my daughter is very lucky to be alive let alone normal and left much longer my own life was in danger, the injection unlocked everything and must i say in every aspect, it was very traumatic, my midwife was also very traumatised in all aspects was going to give up the job, she never gave me any information on what had happened and i am very afraid of having another child, am i tempting fate will i be so lucky next time, is their anyone out there who can help me with the information that i need, EG:what actualy happened, why it went wrong, what caused it, why did no one in the room know what the hell was going on, i recovered ok and my baby girl was fine, well so far so good, i am very very reluctent to having another child, next time i might not be so lucky to have a healthy child, and myself recover so well, but it has defenately put the shits up me, any thing that anyone can help me with would be of great appreciation it is a very rare occurance please someone let me know what happened i will be greatly appreciated
