no offense here, but why do you think doctors will clear up anything? they may take blood, they may agree that he has a back issue, etc. but heal it? not in my experience.
i just started bowen therapy, and i think its the best thing since sliced bread. good for that sort of thing, anything spinal.

its a type of bodywork where the therapist kinda strums certain muscle groups in the body - across the meridians, crosswise across the muscles. the practicioner does one movement across one muscle, and then leaves the room for a few minutes, and then comes back and does another muscle group. most types of body work move with the meridians, this is different. its amazingly gentle, and i have been SO impressed so far. i can tell that things are really happening along my spine as a result. this is the most gentle therapy i've ever seen, but still incredibly powerful in getting the body to release what needs to be released.
