Things to consider:

1. One of the symptoms of Depression (both male & female) is a lack of interest in things they used to enjoy...especially sex.

2. All pharmaceutical anti-depressants come with the label of some kind of sexual side-effect...from decreasing libido all the way to total dysfunction.

3. When one's desire for sex diminishes notably, that is a symptom, a symptom of something wrong somewhere (physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually)

4. What are some of the possibilities of things that could be wrong?

That I can think of off the top of my head? Depression; diabetes; ANY dis-ease that causes a lack of blood flow or the blood to be thicker (in females too!); bowel blockage (80% of serotonin is processed/made in the intestines); lack of Omega 3 oils (supplements of pharmaceutical grade fish oil have been shown in double-blind studies to be as effective as most anti-depressants for relieving depression!); over-self-gratification or excessive use of 'toys' (that can cause physical scarring, nerve damage, lessened sensation, etc); physical trauma to the genitals; cancer; emotional trauma; steroids; anti-biotics; allergies; hormonal changes; chemical toxins in processed foods & household cleaners; I'm sure the list is endless.

5. What's the cure? Certainly not putting a toxic pharmaceutical (or herbal!) band-aid over the symptom. The cure is always the same...finding out what the cause of the symptom is, and treating the cause!

My basic suggestion? Stop putting in all the toxins that the body has to waste it's time, energy and resources to deal with and eliminate, and start giving your body the nutrition it desperately needs. If one cannot or will not alter their diet to accomplish this, then at least take something like Dr. Schulze s SuperFood daily. Omega 3 Fatty Oil (yep, grandma was right, fish IS brain food!). Do a complete bowel cleanse...to increase serotonin production, to increase absorbtion of vitamins & minerals, and to increase the flow of all organs so they can adequately function.

and several other places, I'm sure). Cayenne increases blood flow and helps Depression by increasing blood flow.

More than likely, that'll create a total 'physical part' of the cure...but if it doesn't, then you can start researching hormones and herbal "uppers" (lol) and things to increase your libido.

Most importanly, don't let yourself start to believe that you're "broken"...we all go through phases, and that's all they are...just phases. You obviously have some issues with depression, but those CAN be cured. The human body is designed to cure itself from ANYTHING...and with the right nutrients, lifestyle, research and information, you'll be back to yourself (and maybe even better) in no time!
