Re: Negative Rhesus factor.
Hello there!
I'm also negative rhésus and so I've was also concerned about this issue since my husband was positive. If your husband is ngative your baby will be negative too so no worries, you don't have to take the shot. But if he's +, well, you might have a 1/2 and 1/2 chance. That was my case and both my babies (6mo and 2) are negative, so no shots! Négative rhesus is a recisive gene so to be - you have to be -/-, but to be positive you can be either +/- or +/+...
Do you know the rhesus of the parents of the father?
Anyway the decision can only be taken after a blood test of your baby, and if he/she is positive, you have to take the shot if you want to have more babies...
Another thing to be carefull about is checking to see if you are not producing antibodies during the pregnancy, if you bleed a bit (and if your baby is positive, but that we don't know yet!) you might have to take the shot also...
Good luck for your pregnancy, plenty of good stuff! It's wonderful (though sometime strssful) so enjoy as much as you can!
PS sorry for my english but it's not my native tongue
