Hi Lisa - i will be interested to hear how your first day goes so keep us posted.
On the fat to muscle issue, from what I have read when you work with weights the body uses alot of energy and the muscles actually go through a tearing down and building up process that will use calories (=energy) from the food you eat and from the stores in your body (fat). I'ts not like the fat is automatically changed to muscle as in 'presto-chango' but the fat will break down and some of the energy will go to assist in muscle building. Does that make better sense? Do you do weight-lifting also?
I decided to take it real easy on the weights at this point since I am going to be fasting for so long. Another dissapointment today - after gaining .5 - and then losing 2 yesterday, i have gained 1.5 back. GRRRR - that is about as maddening as anything! I think I'm gonna quit looking at the scales.
