Question from a Christian

I have heard alot of misguided ideas of what Islam is and how Islamics worship. I'd like some understanding from those who are Islamic! Some of the things brought up are: You worship Muhamid (sp sorry) as if he were a god, Muhamid rewrote the bible, and the ever popular all Islamic persons are terrorists (I refuse to believe that). It would be nice to have some clarifications on the basics of the Islamic religion. Who is Muhamid to you? How do you view Jesus? What is the Islamic view of heaven/hell? What is the view of other religions? Wht about God and living as you should?

Any input would be helpful as I'm out in left field here!
