Basically, we believe in one God. Who created everything we see and dont see. And in Islam we believe it was this God who created mankind starting with Adam, from Adam his wife and from them spread many nations and tribes. Therefore, we consider the Torah (in its original form) from God. And the injeel ( now called Bible, but there were more than the 66 books that we believe were lost)Was from God as well. So the Quran ( which word means to recite)is the Final revelation from God. We still have the orginal Language of this revelation. This Quran is protected by corruption so we can trace back every word of it back to the time of revelation over 1400 years ago.
Yes we have what is called the Sunnah ( or Tradition of the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him) Al Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, these are just some of the authors of the many traditions traced back to the actions, deeds or sayings of the Holy prophet, peace be upon him.)
You can do a google on Hadith-hadith is a name for each saying. Scholars in Islam have a very intense Science of hadith, where theyare memorized, not only from the mouth of the Prophet ( peace be upon him) but each person in the chain of narrators, who they were, if they were known to have a weak personality, or anything so if anyone was cross-referenced to have ever lied then that hadith is not longer Sahih( correct) it will become daeef ( weak)
Example- one man went on a journey to find knowledge, he was told so and so was a knowledgable man so he went to this man after a long journey. He saw the man hold up something in front of his cattle (horse, mule something of that nature) he had his hands cupped as if there were food, the animal went to him and found there was nothing. Then the one who was traveling to find knowledge got up to leave, when asked why , it was because the man had basically lied to the animal and how worthy was he to be trusted about the truth from His Lord.

About the Quran there is only one version, but it does have many different tranlations of the Meanings in many languages.

We are told there are many sects of Islam , just as with Christianity, but the one who is on the straight path is the one who holds tight to the Quran and authentic Sunnah ( hadith straight from the messenger of God) This is a part of a famous hadith related by Muslim.
