Pain on left side

Hiya Madie! Best of luck on your first flush!

Pain and movement on the LEFT side of upper-quadrant abdomen is usually the colon. If you look at a diagram o fthe colon, that is where it changes from the transverse colon to the last part that goes directly to your rectum. It kind of twists and gets tightened up there.

Whenever I eat a great deal of fiber or do things that affect my bowels, I will get pain and movement there. Gas causes pain there. Really large/long stools of 12" or so will back up into there and cause pain.

Are you doing any kind of bowel management? I believe the Paragone has some things to keep you regular, and they can cause pain, but the best thing to do is to keep on with the P&B shakes. Hving lots of fiber go through your bowels will exercise them and help return them to their natural, healthiest shape. If your stools are not at least 1" in diameter then you have constrictions and/or layers of mucous that are forcing your stools to be thinner.

If you haven't done much bowel managemnet let me know and I'll send you my notes on BM's for Beginners. ;) :)
