BOOK TO RECEIVE REVIEW IN THE JOURNAL OF ORTHOMOLECULAR MEDICINE

The Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine has selected Emphysema and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease – Therapeutic Approaches Through: Nutrition, Natural Medicine, Alternative Medicine for a book review. The review will appear in the June 2006 edition of JOM (21.2). The Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine is the official professional journal of the International Society of Orthomolecular Medicine and is the most prestigious journal in the world in the field of nutritional medicine. The term “orthomolecular” was coined by 2 time Nobel Laureate Linus Pauling in 1968 in a paper he published in the journal Science. Orthomolecular medicine, which is discussed in the book, approaches disease through an understanding of individual biochemistry and seeks to correct illness by providing the body with optimal amounts of substances that are natural to the body.
