Another thing that helps me is abdominal massage. You can do it yourself and set your own pace. What I do is start under my ribcage on my right side and then massage in a circular clockwise direction. You can go as light or as deep as you like. When I feel bloated or crampy, this helps a lot, and even better if you can do it for several minutes.
Another thing I do is lie on the floor on my stomach and reach behind me and grab my ankles. I was given this pose from a yoga instructor who said it would help with intestinal stuff and it does!
