In BRAZIL, a SPECIAL LAW for celiac patients
My kid, Miguel, 8yr, is a celiac patient.
Along the the last five years I spent my efforts in order to create a law to protect some interests of celiacs as my son. I am not a politician. I am just an ordinary citizen.
And I got it!
"My" law has been approved by the Brazilian National Congress.
From the next May/16th (2004), EVERY food package will HAVE TO inform either IT CONTAINS GLUTEN or IT DOES NOT CONTAIN GLUTEN, according to the industrial formulation of the product. No mather what kind of food. Even beers and sodas are included.
I know it is not much, but from now on, my son Miguel and all the other brazilian celiac patients will live a little more comfortabily.
I sincerily hope this is an inspiration for other countries.
