Burning in childbirth

I believe that I have endometriosis although I've never been diagnosed. My sister has it and I have many of the symptoms (painful periods, menstruation lasting 9-11 days, mittelschmerz, sharp knife-like pains at other times). With my second child, I experienced a burning pain along with my contractions. It was on the sides of my abdomen in the same place where I have pain when I ovulate (mittelschmerz). It radiated all the way up to where my hip is. The midwives had never heard of that before. Have any of you ever experienced that pain? I'm just curious to find out if it might be related to endometriosis or if it might be something else. I guess I'm just wanting to know so I might know to expect the same thing with my next childbirth. Tweet
