Re: Do I have endo?

You might have endo...but the only way to know for sure is through a diagnostic laporoscopy where they make a couple of small incisions and go in with a camera to take a look. Endometriosis is a chronic condition that usually spreads if it is not addressed...symptoms can range from very mild to completely dibilitating, and it is a common cause of infertility in women. Common symptoms include difficult periods (heavy, clotting, irregular, etc.), pelvic pain, fatigue, trouble getting pregnant, bowel problems, etc....and not everyone gets every symptom. Endo is the result of endometrial cells migrating to other areas of the body and have been found in all sorts of locations...including lung and brain tissue. These cells, or implants, go through cyclical hormonal changes just as the endometrium does...but there is no outlet for the shedding fluid so inflammation results...followed by adhesions (scar tissue). The adhesions can cause a lot of problems on their own...distorting organs and 'gluing' them together. There are a variety of ways to address endo...natural and medical/surgical...but the first step is finding out if this is indeed your problem. There does appear to be some relationship between candida and endometriosis...many women with endo have also had problems with yeast. There also may be an association between endo and dioxin...a by-product of bleaching paper products...which is why it is important to use natural feminine hygiene products (tampons, pads) that are not bleached with chlorine.

Your symptoms could also be the result of uterine fibroids, polyps or a hormonal imbalance. You need to get a diagnosis before you proceed with any treatments.
