getting started

Some Practical Advice for New Homeschoolers.
Homeschool dot com you don't *have* to buy the kit to learn a lot to get started.
Books 4 Home School.
Eclectic Homeschool Online, not exactly my style, but good information none the less.
Home Education magazine lots of good articles.

Definitely, check with your state laws on homeschooling. Legal requirements differ very widely from state to state. Don't rely on the Board of Education to tell you the full law. I've had one county bend over backwards to cooperate with me, but I've had another try to throw up as many roadblocks as they legally could. Search online yourself for the requirements you need to follow in your state.

I've got more and probably better links somewhere, but it's about bedtime and my eyes keep trying to close...
