Re: Is surgery ever necessary?

Hi

External hemorrhoids can be removed by surgery in a hospital. A local, regional, or general anesthetic would generally be required to remove external hemorrhoids. Surgery does cause discomfort and is very expensive but most people are fully healed in around two to four weeks. Once you have had surgery it's highly inlikely that they will ever return.
