I make up the lemon juice and maple syrup in a jug, and then add the water and cayenne pepper. I find that if I add the pepper and water to make the full drink early in the day, the cayenne pepper overwhelms the drink and it tastes awful. So I just add the juice/syrup mixture to glasses of water and add a pinch of cayenne pepper throughout the day - it works great and i only have to bring one bottle with me since it is so concentrated.
