dreamt of dead father

My father died several months again and I dreamt about him the other night. In the dream i kept telling him he was dead and he never relpied. We had a very strained relationship due to his drug/alochol problems, in fact he was not a very kind man at all. Anyway, one of the only things he said was that there was indeed a HELL. He told me a story about a 'aunt' who he said I knew, (however he never said her name) was in HELL. He said she went to HELL because she was lonley and bitter. During the entire dream he felt DEAD, he was cold (he actually put on one of my sweathshirts) emotionless, and lifeless.
I wondering if it was actually HIM in my dream, or just my subconscious?
I'm also wondering if HE is the one in HELL? if there is such a place?
